The Very Most

Indiepop band from Boise, Idaho, USA

About

Band Bio

The bio on social media sites for The Very Most, an indiepop band out of Boise, Idaho, reads, ahem: "Some folks think we’re pretty neat". "Some folks," in this case, includes fans of melancholy-tinged pop music from all over the world. "Pretty neat" refers to the fact that The Very Most is pretty neat, an objective fact that can be proven by citing Cloudberry Cake Proselytism, one of the most influential indiepop blogs, who said, straight-faced mind you, that The Very Most was one of America's best indiepop bands. Not to mention Popmatters.com, who named TVM's 2020 full-length album Needs Help in their top 10 indiepop albums of 2020.

Led by Jeremy Jensen since 2002, The Very Most has been crafting their tuneful, multi-layered indiepop over the course of 7 full-length albums and 11 EPs. Their influences include The Beach Boys, Belle and Sebastian, Johnny Marr, Orange Juice, K Records, Cherry Red Records, classic synthpop, and even the poppier side of Boise legends Built to Spill.

The Very Most has played many an indiepop festival, including NYC Popfest, Paris Popfest, Indietracks, Sacramento Popfest, and San Francisco Popfest, as well as shows all over the western US, the UK, Spain, and Ireland. For years, they have represented the city of Boise to worldwide indiepop fans and they plan to continue doing so indefinitely.
